Top Ten Tuesday – Top Ten Books On My Fall To-Be-Read list

TopTenTuesday

Top Ten Tuesday is an original feature/weekly meme by The Broke and the Bookish. This feature gives a weekly Top Ten list. We all love lists, right?
This week’s theme is Top Ten Books On My Fall To-Be-Read list
I put one too many on my list and didn’t want to cut anything. So here it is. I also decided not to include any that are not releasing until 2015. I’ve lucked into a couple already and was quite tempted to put them on the list. But I refrained, there’s plenty to list without them. I also tried to limit this to the ones I already I have, with the exception of the first two! I may not have them yet, but I will definitely read them as soon as I can:
  1. The Lesser Dead by Christopher Buehlman – I loved his first book. Quite curious to see how he handles vampires in 1970s Manhatten!
  2. Slow Regard of Silent Things by Patrick Rothfuss
  3. Ancillary Sword by Anne Leckie
  4. Gleam by Tom Fletcher
  5. Liveship Traders by Robin Hobb – I’m already part way through the first one and enjoying it! I’m looking forward to finishing out the trilogy this fall!
  6. The Shining Girls by Lauren Beukes
  7. Something Wicked This Way Comes by Ray Bradbury
  8. California Bones by Greg Van Eekhout
  9. Dark Defiles by Richard K. Morgan
  10. The Falcon Throne by Karen Miller

  1. At least three of those are lined up on my reading list for next month – not sure if I can cram Buehlman’s book into fall, even though I’d love to check out his book. Great list, some new and old. Hobb’s Liveship books are also on my TBR, after I enjoyed her Rain Wilds Chronicles. Why do all her books have to be so huge?!

  2. I really enjoyed the Bradbury and I simply can’t believe I missed Rothfuss – what is wrong with me!!!!
I almost added the Leckie book to my list as I picked up a copy really reasonable during a promotion for kindle – I’m looking forward to that one.
