Waiting on Wednesday is a meme hosted by Breaking the Spine to let us share our excitement for books coming out soon.
I keep meaning to read another book by Parker, and this looks like a perfect choice. The thought of some with all these memories, trying to keep them separate form his own reality just intrigues me. And, well. Unsavory people, yes, I like books with unsavory people because they are just so amusing. And that cover?? I can’t help but wonder if she is going to kiss him or stab him. I want to know!
Author: K. J. Parker
Expected publication: October 6, 2015
Publisher: Tor.com
When you need a memory to be wiped, call me.
Transferring unwanted memories to my own mind is the only form of magic I’ve ever mastered. But now, I’m holding so many memories I’m not always sure which ones are actually mine, any more.
Some of them are sensitive; all of them are private. And there are those who are willing to kill to access the secrets I’m trying to bury…
A classic Parker tale with a strong supporting cast of princes, courtiers, merchants, academics, and generally unsavory people.
I’ve yet to give Parker a read myself either, but this sounds like a perfect place to start. Great pick!

There are a number of upcoming Tor.com originals I’m looking forward to, and yes this is one of them! I think another one I had on my list is The Builders by Daniel Polansky.
