Waiting on Wednesday is a meme hosted by Breaking the Spine to let us share our excitement for books coming out soon.
The combination of characters working together in this just sounds like there could be some great dynamics. Son of a gang leader, and aristocrat, a robot that is evolving, and a PI? In some ways it sounds like the set up for a joke as they all walk into a bar, but really I think theres some serious potential there for not just an intriguing plot, but character dynamics as well. Assuming they work together, I guess they could all 4 be doing their own things. Regardless, I am really curious about the world and how these 4 work to shape the city.

Hope City, Antarctica. The southernmost city in the world, with only a glass dome and a faltering infrastructure to protect its citizens from the freezing, ceaseless winds of the Antarctic wilderness. Within this bell jar four people–some human, some not–will shape the future of the city forever:
Eliana Gomez, a female PI looking for a way to the mainland.
Diego Amitrano, the right-hand man to the gangster who controls the city’s food come winter.
Marianella Luna, an aristocrat with a dangerous secret.
Sofia, an android who has begun to evolve.
But the city is evolving too, and in the heart of the perilous Antarctic winter, factions will clash, dreams will shatter, and that frozen metropolis just might boil over…
I think it’s safe to say we’re ALL waiting on this book! Super excited to read another Cassandra Rose Clarke book:-)

Looks interesting! Cool cover, too!
That is an interesting cast of characters. My favorite is Gomez, already. She is the only smart one of them who is try leave: Trapped in a giant bubble, in the middle of the freezing Arctic… No thank you!

I’ve seen this one floating around a bit lately and it looks SO good! Cassandra Rose Clarke is an author that a lot of my friends talk about but I’ve never actually read one of her books, so a new book and universe looks like the perfect place to jump in. 🙂
