Stacking the Shelves is a weekly feature all about sharing your good luck in book acquisitions! So here’s what came my way since my last post!

I’ve been trying to cut back on my requests and purchases until I manage to do some catch up, but no one can resist completely! And also because of this, all the books I have gotten in the past few weeks I am very excited for!

Mystic by Jason Denzel – This was my WoW post this week, as I am really looking for to reading this one! I absolutely love books that feature a protagonist breaking through the social barriers and making waves by doing something that they’ve been told is not their place or right to do. I also love books with a strong female protagonist, and this book sounds like it would feature both of these in a wonderful way. Add in the mystery magic of the Myst, and I am completely intrigued, I honestly can’t wait to read it. Many thanks to Tor books for sending me this early review copy.

The Killing Kind by Chris Holm – This finished copy was a surprise arrival from Mulholland Books. While it is straight thriller with no speculative aspect, I’ve been so impressed with everything published by Mulholland I may still give it a read. Plus, it’s an assassin assassin, that has such possibility for being a great (and intense) read. Many thanks to Mulholland Books!

White Trash Zombie Apocalypse by Diana Rowland (audiobook) – So far listening to this series has been fun. You can see my reviews of the first two books in the series to see why, but basically the protagonist is just a fun character. Her snarky sarcastic outlook on everything keeps these zombie books light and quite enjoyable. Many thanks to Audible Studios for this review copy of the 3rd book in the series.

The Dead House by Dawn Kurtagich (audiobook) – This was another recent WoW post, complete with a sound clip of the audiobook. I have to admit, when I heard that clip, this book jumped up my priority list, it just sounds wonderfully creepy. My thanks to the good people at Hachette Audio for sending an early copy of this one for review.

Dragon Haven: Rain Wilds Chronicles, Volume 2 by Robin Hobb I still need to read the first one, but have purchased all of the ebooks so they are there waiting for me. I happened to notice the audiobook for this one was just $2.99 since I already have the ebook and decided to grab it as well.
