Waiting on Wednesday is a meme hosted by Breaking the Spine to let us share our excitement for books coming out soon.
Funny thing with science fiction, for some reason, I am not nearly as compelled to pick it out completely on my own and I’m really not sure why. The reason that seems odd to me is when I look back at the science fiction I have read, it has just as good, if not maybe better track record than the fantasy and horror books. So when I saw this one, I was was excited to see that I really want to read it, and hope it continues my positive Science Fiction experience.

A space adventure set on a lone ship where the murdered crew are resurrected through cloning to discover who their killer was — and the secret to their mission.
It was not common to awaken in a cloning vat streaked with drying blood.
At least, Marie Shea iv had never experienced it. She had no memory of how she died. That was also new; before, when she had awakened as a new clone, her first memory was of how she died, from illness once and from injury once…
Maria’s vat was in the front of six vats, each one holding the clone of a crew member of the starship Pituitary, each clone waiting for its previous incarnation to die so it could awaken. Apparently Maria wasn’t the only one to die recently.
I used to listen to Mur’s podcast a lot a couple years ago. Really interested in checking this one out as well.

I’m very excited to read this as well! It sounds a little mind bending but maybe that’s the attraction for me??

Interesting blurb. I really like that cover, too. It’s a bit eerie to go along with the story.
Ooh, I hadn’t heard of this one before but it does sound intriguing. Hope you enjoy it when it comes out 🙂
Great pick! I haven’t heard of this one until now but it sounds pretty awesome.

I really like sci-fi thrillers like this, though I have to admit the description reminded me a little of Alive by Scott Sigler! And what a name for a ship, Pituitary…I wonder if that’s a clue 😉
