Stacking the Shelves is a weekly feature all about sharing your good luck in book acquisitions! So here’s what came my way since my last post!

I’ve still been trying to request less lately, but even with that, I got a number of great books added to stacks these past few weeks!

Received for Review

Red Tide by Marc Turner – a surprise finished hardcover copy showed up for Red Tide by Marc Turner. This is a great reminder I still need to read the second book in the series, which I have heard great things about. Many thanks to Tor!

Red Right Hand by Chris Holm – another surprise package, this one with a finished hardcover copy of Red Right Hand by Chris Holm. I am hoping to get to The Killing Kind one of these days for Backlist Burndown because this series does sound really good. And Mulholland hasn’t let me down yet. Many thanks to Mulholland Books!

Gilded Cage by Vic James – This was a recent WoW featured title, so I am very excited to get a copy of this one. Many thanks to Ballentine for approving my NetGalley request.

Obelisk Gate by N. K. Jemisin – The Fifth Season was one of the most interesting starts to epic fantasy I’ve read lately, so I was very excited to read the next in series, The Obelisk Gate. Many thanks to Hachette Audio for the review copy!

Giveaway Wins

It’s been a good few weeks for winning things! I won an ARC copy of Hag-Seed by Margaret Atwood from LibraryThing, a copy of Arabella of Mars from Fantasy Literature. Then the last picture was a box of books I won for participating in a YA survey aimed at parents of YA readers. This box may not have much in it I would normally pick up to read (or either of my sons for that matter), but Salt to the Sea does sound interesting.

The King’s Blood by Daniel Abraham – I really enjoyed the first one in this series, and I have heard it gets progressively better. I decided to grad a copy of the audiobook so I’d have it on hand when the mood strikes to continue (probably as a Backlist Burndown choice).
