Waiting on Wednesday is a meme hosted by Breaking the Spine to let us share our excitement for books coming out soon.
OK, so this might seem like a premature selection since the first book, The Tethered Mage, does not release until later this year, but I finished that book yesterday, and am really looking forward to the sequel. If I had it on hand, I would have just immediately picked up The Defiant Heir, to read them back to back. This one doesn’t release until April of 2018, but I am happy that it is not an entire year that I have to wait for it.

Across the border, the Witch Lords of Vaskandar are preparing for war. But before an invasion can begin, they must call a rare gathering of all seventeen lords to decide a course of action. Lady Amalia Cornaro knows that this Conclave might be her only chance to stifle the growing flames of war, and she is ready to make any sacrifice if it means saving Raverra from destruction.
Amalia and Zaira must go behind enemy lines, using every ounce of wit and cunning they have, to sway Vaskandar from war. Or else it will all come down to swords and fire.
Very pretty. I’m probably not going to read this series, but I’ll look for your reviews:-)

I enjoyed the first one. 🙂 I do like the covers and actually like the first cover a bit better (it was very similar to this one, but darker)

It was fun, and really hit the spot for what I was in the mood for. The romance may have been a bit much at times, but I was in a mood where I really didnt care/mind at all

I’m not quite sure whether this is a series i fancy or not. I’ll wait and see what you make of this one probably and then decide.
