Waiting on Wednesday is a meme hosted by Breaking the Spine to let us share our excitement for books coming out soon.
I will admit Claire North has been a bit hit or miss for me, but I loved Touch and this one sounds more along those lines so I’m really excited to check it out.

What if your life were defined by a number?
What if any crime could be committed without punishment, so long as you could afford to pay the fee assigned to that crime?
Theo works in the Criminal Audit Office. He assesses each crime that crosses his desk and makes sure the correct debt to society is paid in full.
But when Theo’s ex-lover Dani is killed, it’s different. This is one death he can’t let become merely an entry on a balance sheet.
Because when the richest in the world are getting away with murder, sometimes the numbers just don’t add up.
Intriguing cover there!
I love the cover
I love this cover, this is already on my TBR, can’t wait!
Look forward to hearing what you think of it! I’m excited to read it
Love the concepts. The last two sentence of the synopsis were what sold me 🙂
Definitely
Ooo… I LOVE Claire North’s writing! I hadn’t realised another of her books was due out – thank you for the heads up:)
Yeah, I hadn’t learned about this until recently
Crossing my fingers that this one will be more like Touch and less like her last novel!
I skipped her last one because it sounded like the style might be more like FFLoHA than Touch and I was scared to try it
I hope this one works out for you. I love the concept and the cover so eagerly await your thoughts.
Lynn 😀
Yes, the concept is stellar!
Well that sounds horrible, I mean that you can kill someone, but if you can away you get away with it. What a dark world..and I WANT TO READ IT
ME TOO!! (definitely very dark)
Oh my gosh, that is one creepy premise!
I know, being rich can already give them more power, but letting them pay their way out of anything and eliminating all accountability is even scarier
This sounds every bit as good as the cover and intriguing title. I hope you enjoy:)
Thanks! I’m looking forward to it
I’ve only read The First Fifteen Lives of Harry August but I really, really, really loved that one. I picked up Touch but haven’t gotten around to it yet.
I did not love TFFLoHA, but I did love Touch (which is more of a thriller)
