Waiting on Wednesday is a meme that was hosted by Breaking the Spine to let us share our excitement for books coming out soon. It has gone the way of the wind and is no longer hosted there. But Wishful Endings is now hosting Can’t Wait Wednesday so we can keep the momentum going and link up there.

In the company of the strangely alluring god and armed with her wits, Casiopea begins an adventure that will take her on a cross-country odyssey, from the jungles of Yucatán to the bright lights of Mexico City–and deep into the darkness of the Mayan underworld.
Mixing the excitement of the Roaring Twenties with Prehispanic mythology, Gods of Jade and Shadow is a vivid, wildly imaginative historical fantasy.
So far, I’ve read two books by Silvia Moreno-Garcia and have really enjoyed both of them despite them being starkly different. This is another one that sounds unique from her existing works and I really look forward to checking it out.
I agree, this sounds so different. I will read anything she writes?
WOAH! This sounds awesome! I never read anything by her but I am totally adding this to my TBR List to watch. Thanks for Sharing!

Love the way this one sounds. I enjoy reading books set in the 1920s as well as books dealing with mythology. Adding it to my TBR. Thanks for sharing it!
Yeah, same here, I’ve read two of her books and liked them both, so at this point she’s on my auto-read list 😀
Oh yeah this does good, and unique too. From what I’ve seen it looks like this author’s books are all like that though, different and original. I still have to try one. Soon!
The 20s mixed with the Mayan mythology makes this one sound really interesting! I haven’t tried read any of this author’s books yet, but I may have to try this one!
Moreno-Garcia has already shown that she can successfully handle any kind of theme or genre, so I know I can look forward to this one with great expectations that will be surely fulfilled. Thanks for sharing! 🙂
