Welcome to The Friday Face-Off, a new weekly meme hosted at Books by Proxy. Every Friday two books will be lined up to be judged solely on their covers (that thing we are never supposed to do, but you know we all do it!)
This weeks theme: ‘Beware the moon, lads.’ – A cover with a shapeshifter
I tried to think of something different for this one, and came up with a few other ideas, but found the covers didn’t feature the shapeshifter I was thinking of, or in one case, I decided it was a spoiler. So, I went with Seraphina. If you hover over the images, you can see the details for which edition it is.
I had actually expected I would pick the purple background cover, but after seeing some of the different ones, decided on another. I also have to say the US and UK covers for this one are the opposite of what I would expect. The US is way more likely to feature faces on the cover.
So, here’s my pick:
I love the one you chose, but I love the Greek edition as well. The way her dress is morphing into a wing is so cool!

This is a brilliant choice because all the covers are good. I love your choice and also the first one – US 2012 – I’ve always had a soft spot for those covers.
Lynn 😀
Oh, cool selection. I never looked at the other covers for this one, some.of them are pretty cool!

What a fabulous choice for this theme – I loved the book, too! And my favourite is the US 2012 cover, which by rights should have been the UK version…
Wow, I swear the last time I looked up this book there were not this many covers. I really like the last one, I haven’t seen that one before and I love the colors.
That Polish cover is by far and away the best!
