Welcome to The Friday Face-Off, a new weekly meme hosted at Books by Proxy. Every Friday two books will be lined up to be judged solely on their covers (that thing we are never supposed to do, but you know we all do it!)
This weeks theme: “The question of whether or not we are alone in the universe… has been answered” – a cover featuring something/somebody historic
I went with something perhaps a bit less specific, and just decided on London (when you read mainly fictional worlds and characters, the options start getting a bit more limited). So, ofcourse I landed on Neverwhere by Neil Gaiman
I have to admit, I like a lot of these, but honestly not sure I love any of them.
I’m going to go with the Slovak cover because I’ve never seen it before and I like the flipped city.
I really like the new 2017 edition by William Morrow, and it reminds me that I still need to check out the one they sent me 😀
I like the William Morrow covers – 16 and 17 versions, but the Slovak is really good with the twisted reflection.
Lynn 😀
