Stacking the Shelves is a weekly feature all about sharing your good luck in book acquisitions! So here’s what came my way since my last post!
So as I was deciding to catch up with my Stacking the Shelves posts, I decided I had enough awesome goodies from St. Martin’s Press to feature them all in in a post by themselves.
Received for Review
One of Us Will be Dead by Morning by David Moody – This one sounds like lots of creepy fun. Fifteen strangers stranded together, what could possibly go wrong?? Especially after people start dying. It is listed as the second in a series, but I have heard it can be a starting point.
Glass Town by Steven Savile – This one sounds intriguing and mysterious. It has an urban setting, illusions, unattainable love, time manipulation, etc. Should be good!
Black Star Renegades by Michael Moreci – I actually finished reading this one already and found it to be fun. It was written as a love letter to Star Wars, and it shows. My review will be up closer to publication.
Glimpse by Jonathan Maberry – This is a supernatural thriller that sounds spectacularly creepy and curious. It also sounds like the narrator may not be entirely reliable (have to read to be sure), but I love books where I am not entirely sure if I can trust the main POV. Really looking forward to it!
Wonderblood by Julia Whicker – A dystopian fantasy that centers on politics and survival. Should be a great read.
Many thanks to St. Martin’s Press for all of these goodies. I’m really looking forward to them, and love the variety I have to pick from!
Nice! I just got my last book of the year in the mail this week: The Girl In the Tower by Katherine Arden. It seems to be getting good reviews so far, so I hope I’ll enjoy as much (or close to it) as The Bear and the Nightingale.
I’ve requested Black Star Renegades, so fingers crossed I get it:)). But I LOVE the look of Wonderblood, too. I hope you enjoy these reads.
Glimpse and Black Star Renegades sound so good, I’m looking forward to reading these this winter 🙂
they are all new to me. Happy reading!
I like the look of Glimpse – I’ll be interested to see if you like that one or not.
Lynn 😀
