Waiting on Wednesday is a meme hosted by Breaking the Spine to let us share our excitement for books coming out soon.
Goodreads has a date of September 17, 2015, but I am not sure how accurate that is. I have seen though that this is expected to hit the shelves before the year is up. Whenever it is, it is way on the top of my MUST READ list!! I can not wait!
Author: Scott Lynch
Expected publication: Fall 2015?
Publisher: Del Rey in the US, Gollancz in the UK
With 50,000 copies sold of The Republic of Thieves and with praise from the likes of Joe Abercrombie and George RR Martin the saga of the Gentleman Bastard has become a favourite and key part of the fantasy landscape. And now Locke Lamora, thief, con-man, pirate, political deceiver must become a soldier.
A new chapter for Locke and Jean and finally the war that has been brewing in the Kingdom of the Marrows flares up and threatens to capture all in its flames.
And all the while Locke must try to deal with the disturbing rumours about his past revealed in The Republic of Thieves. Fighting a war when you don’t know the truth of right and wrong is one thing. Fighting a war when you don’t know the truth of yourself is quite another. Particularly when you’ve never been that good with a sword anyway…
I have only word for you that encapsulates what I think about this book: YES!! I feel like it has been ages since The Republic of Thieves came out and I just can’t wait to see what Locke and Jean have in store for us this time 🙂 Great pick!!

Wow this sounds pretty amazing, not a book I would usually go for.
MY WAITING ON WEDNESDAY
YES! I can’t wait for this one to come out, and I’ve been looking forward to it ever since I finished reading The Republic of Thieves and then heard there’d be a fourth book in the series. I’ve got great expectations of this novel, and I doubt it’ll disappoint!

I really need to catch up with Scott Lynch. I admit, I was hesitant because of the gap between books – as understandable as his circumstances were. Now that he seems to be back on track, it’s time to get reading.

Has it been confirmed for fall? I’m always skeptical of dates for this series since every time we get one it seems to get pushed back, but I can live with “before the year is over” 🙂 Yes, very much looking forward to this!
