Stacking the Shelves is a weekly feature all about sharing your good luck in book acquisitions! So here’s what came my way since my last post!
It’s been another couple of great weeks for book additions!
Received for Review
Spira Mirabilis by Aidan Harte – I read the first in this series, but managed to let the second one slip by me. I may need to go get a copy so I can catch up and read the conclusion to the trilogy! Many thanks to Quercus/Jo Fletcher for sending this my way!
Masks and Shadows by Stephanie Burgis – I read an early copy of this one and really enjoyed it! (Watch for my review of it on The Speculative Herald on Monday!). Many thanks to Pyr for sending me this finished copy!
Snakewood by Adrian Selby – I have seen a number of people struggle with this book, but really want to read it to see how it works for me, especially as some have said it pays off in the end. I decided that maybe audio might work better for me, so fingers crossed! Many thanks to Hachette Audio for the review copy!
Nightshades by Melissa F. Olsen – Another novella from Tor.com! A gritty urban fantasy with vampires? Oh, sounds like a good one to try in between epic fantasies!! Many thanks to Tor.com!

TRUCKER HAT!
Oh, yeah, and The Brotherhood of the Wheel by R. S. Belcher! I’ve read some good reviews of this one, and am looking forward to checking out! Thanks to my win over at The BiblioSanctum, I get a bonus trucker hat as well!
Ooooh, can’t wait to read your review of Masks & Shadows on Monday then! 😀

Masks and Shadows does look interesting. Snakewood caught my interest but, like you say, early reviews have not been encouraging. I’ll have to keep an eye on TSH to see what you thought.
I’ve at least seen a couple of people say that Snakewood pays off in the end, so I am trying to go into it with an open mind 🙂

Cool trucker hat! I really loved Brotherhood of the Wheel:-) I’m very curious to see what you think about Snakewood since it has not seemed to go over well in the blogging community so far. But hey, maybe you’ll love it!

It may actually help Snakewood that I have seen some negative reviews, so am going in with different expectations than if I had read it earlier on (before seeing the negative reviews)

I’m looking forward to Masks and Shadows. Glad you enjoyed it. And, yes, I do fancy the Belcher book – looks really good. Look forward to your review.

I legitimately cannot wait to hear your review about the audio book version of Snakewood. I REALLY want to see if this makes a difference.
