Welcome to The Friday Face-Off, a new weekly meme hosted at Books by Proxy. Every Friday two books will be lined up to be judged solely on their covers (that thing we are never supposed to do, but you know we all do it!)
This weeks theme: May flights of angels lead you on your way. (A cover featuring an angel/angels.)
Well, looking through my books, most of the ones I could think of that feature angels, DID NOT HAVE ANGELS ON THE COVERS!! Well then. I decided to go with House of Shattered Wings, which features fallen angels and has covers that hint at that, even if there’s not some haloed angelic creature clearly on display.

I am partial to the UK covers. I may prefer the newest Gollancz cover (the most simplistic one). Choose your favorite in the poll, and leave a comment below to let us know what you think!

Well, it’s the highest praise possible for your choice of book this week as I chose the same, great minds think alike! ?
I love your choice Lisa – this would never have occurred to me – I love the most recent UK cover.

Easier to pick the one I know I DON’T like – I’ve never been a fan of the US cover for this book. Pretty much any other version is better 🙂

Oh I like the last one and did read it with the first cover.

I’m with Mogsy, either of the UK covers is preferable to the US cover artwork. Actually, I really like the blues and purples on the 2015 UK cover, so I think I’ll go with that one! 🙂
