Welcome to The Friday Face-Off, a new weekly meme hosted at Books by Proxy. Every Friday two books will be lined up to be judged solely on their covers (that thing we are never supposed to do, but you know we all do it!)
This weeks theme: “The blood is life… and it shall be mine!”- a cover which features ‘blood’
Every single NOS4A2 cover I looked at had blood spattering somewhere. Some more subtle than other. I have to admit, I love the holiday edition covers for this book! The wreath of bloody skulls for the UK, and the bloody gingerbread man for the US.

Let me know which book you picked! I really like the original UK cover, but have to admit, those holiday covers are in close competition for my favorite. I waffle between the wreath and the gingerbread man, but I think I’ll go with the US Holiday one as my favorite (today anyway).
The wreath is my favourite too – even before I saw your winner it was the one!

UK typically has better covers. 🙂

Whoa, that’s a lot of covers. I knew there were several versions in the US, but I forgot about the international covers.

Yeah, I didn’t realize there would be so many! And they all have blood on them (surprise)
