Waiting on Wednesday is a meme hosted by Breaking the Spine to let us share our excitement for books coming out soon.
I loved both The Three and Day Four. In fact, I loved them both so much, I gave them both 5 stars (something I really don’t do very often). So yeah, Sarah Lotz is on my MUST READ list, this one included! So, now I look forward to developing a new fear of mountains!! (Still have no desire to go on a cruise after reading Day Four).

A cutting-edge thriller about one man’s quest to discover horror lurking at the top of the world.
Desperate to attract subscribers to his fledgling website, ‘Journey to the Dark Side’, ex-adrenalin junkie and slacker Simon Newman hires someone to guide him through the notorious Cwm Pot caves, so that he can film the journey and put it on the internet. With a tragic history, Cwm Pot has been off-limits for decades, and unfortunately for Simon, the guide he’s hired is as unpredictable and dangerous as the watery caverns that lurk beneath the earth. After a brutal struggle for survival, Simon barely escapes with his life, but predictably, the gruesome footage he managed to collect down in the earth’s bowels goes viral. Ignoring the warning signs of mental trauma, and eager to capitalize on his new internet fame, Simon latches onto another escapade that has that magic click-bait mix of danger and death – a trip to Everest. But up above 8000 feet, in the infamous Death Zone, he’ll need more than his dubious morals and wits to guide him, especially when he uncovers the truth behind a decade-old tragedy – a truth that means he might not be coming back alive. A truth that will change him – and anyone who views the footage he captures – forever.
I swear this is the year I finally read Sarah Lotz! I have lots to catch up on:-)

I don’t read a lot of thrillers, but this sounds like an interesting read! I’ve never even heard of this author before, so thank you for bringing her books to my attention 🙂 Fabulous pick!

Definitely highly recommend her books, they are often classified as horror, but are kind of a horror/thriller blend.

This sounds like a good book and I’m always on the lookout for more horror! Thanks for sharing it. I know this author from somewhere, I just can’t remember where!

She wrote The Three and Day Four, and she also co-authors books as S. L. Grey (The Apartment, The Mall and some others). I’ve only read one S. L. Grey book, and really enjoyed it, but not quite as much as I have the books by just Sarah Lotz.

So, I never read the second book – not because I didn’t want to I just didn’t find time – is that all part of a series?
Lynn 😀
nope. There was a reference or two to vague things from The Three in Day Four, so they are in the same world (at least the first two). But those could be read independently, as I imagine this one could as well

Somehow I’ve completely missed the buzz surrounding Sarah Lotz! The upside? Now I get to read her backlist and discover for myself what all the fuss is about. 🙂
