Waiting on Wednesday is a meme hosted by Breaking the Spine to let us share our excitement for books coming out soon.
OK, everyone should know I am a sucker for child thieves, particularly when they are trying to conceal something about themselves, so yep. Definitely looking forward to reading this one!!

CONTROL THE MAGIC, CONTROL THE WORLD
In the Raverran Empire, magic is scarce and those born with power are strictly controlled — taken as children and conscripted into the Falcon Army. Zaira has lived her life on the streets to avoid this fate, hiding her mage-mark and thieving to survive. But hers is a rare and dangerous magic, one that threatens the entire empire.
Lady Amalia Cornaro was never meant to be a Falconer. Heiress and scholar, she was born into a treacherous world of political machinations. But fate has bound the heir and the mage. And as war looms on the horizon, a single spark could turn their city into a pyre.
The Tethered Mage is the first novel in a spellbinding new fantasy series.
This one has me curious and like I’ve said before recently, birds on covers of books (which are also on the book I featured this week) are almost an auto buy for me like tentacles. Such weird triggers huh?

ha … yeah. If you put a girl with a sword on the cover, I’m pretty likely to buy it, so I get it.

Pretty. Raverran Empire with a big Raven on the cover makes me a bit skeptical, but I think I better keep my eye out for it anyway.

Is it a raven? Or is it a woman in a dress, head back, in front of a sky line in the moonlight? 🙂

I saw the cover to this the other day and it immediately caught my eye! The description looks good too, I hope the book turns out as great as it sounds 😀
