Stacking the Shelves is a weekly feature all about sharing your good luck in book acquisitions! So here’s what came my way since my last post!

It’s been a while since I’ve posted a Stacking the Shelves, so I have a number of great books to share!!

Received for Review

Last Mortal Bond by Brian Staveley

I was SO excited to have this one land on my doorstep! Providence of Fire left me wanting this book, and I was thrilled to get an early copy! Many thanks to Brian Staveley and Tor for getting a copy to me!

Masks and Shadows by Stephanie Burgis

Music, magic, and blackmail mingle in a plot to assassinate the Habsburg Emperor and Empress–a plot that can only be stopped if Carlo and Charlotte can see through the masks worn by everyone they meet.” Sounds really good! Thanks to Pyr for sending me a copy!

Beyond Redemption by Michael R. Fletcher

This is one of the 2015 releases I most regret not requesting. Honestly, somehow I didn’t even know about this book until it was released! And then everyone I know that has read it, loved it. So when the author offered me a complimentary copy as a reviewer, I was thrilled. Then when it was selected for the r/Fantasy Goodreads Book of the Month this month, I was doubly thrilled. I am 75% through and loving it. Serious thanks to Michael R. Fletcher for generously offering me a copy!

Downfall of the Gods by K. J. Parker

So, K. J. Parker has TWO novellas coming out this spring? Why yes, evidently he does, and I was absolutely thrilled to get my hands on this one. Many thanks toSubterranean Press!

Night Study by Maria V. Snyder

I’ve enjoyed this series, it makes for lighter reading between my other books. Was very happy to get an early copy of this one (5th in the series) from Mira on NetGalley!

Arena by Holly Jennings

I have to admit, the Virtual Gaming League sounds like so much fun! And having a female protagonist that is kicking ass in it makes me even more excited to read this one!

Thanks to Ace for sending me this as part of Ace Roc Stars!

Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo

This is a book that I have heard several great things about. And I do have a soft spot for thieves, runaways and spies, and this one seems to have them all! Really looking forward to listening to this one! Many thanks to Audible Studios!

Pieces of Hate by Tim Lebbon

Ahh…. pirates and a quest for vengeance. What’s not to love about that? Thanks to Tor.com for sending this my way!

  1. Glad to hear you’re loving Beyond Redemption – such a fantastic book! I’m pretty sure there’s a copy of Last Mortal Bond waiting for me in my P.O. Box (Brian and I chatted last week), so I’m hoping to head out and check today.
